Choosing + Preparing Your Space

Be sure to find a calm, comfortable space in your home where you will be uninterrupted for the duration of the Retreat.

Ideally, this is a space where you'll be able to both sit up and lie down as well as a space where you will feel free to express yourself during the Breathwork Journey portion of our experience (more on that below)…

If you have pets, you may want to keep them in another room - especially when you are doing the Breathwork Journey portion of the Reset as they can potentially keep you from deepening fully into the experience.

In order to create a full-sensory experience, I highly encourage you to create a peaceful supportive ambiance (think: spa-like). Here are a few simple ideas:

— Aromatherapy / essential oils

— Candle(s)

Breathwork Journey Setup

After a brief break at around 4:00 pm ET, we will transition into the Breathwork Journey portion of the retreat. It is at this time that you will need to find a space where you can lie down comfortably and remain uninterrupted for approximately 60 minutes.

— This could be a couch, a bed, or a cushioned mat.

— You will need to be lying totally flat - ideally without a pillow under your head so as to allow for a clear and straight airway.

Other Recommended Items for Breathwork:

— You may want to have a blanket on hand. The body often gets cold when lying down and doing Breathwork, so you may wish to have a blanket to help to keep you comfortable.

— Do make sure to have a pillow that you can optionally scream into for cathartic release as I may encourage you to do.

— You may also wish to have tissues on hand in case of emotional release which can often happen during a Breathwork journey.

— I also often like to use an eye mask or eye pillow to block out ambient light.

Tech Setup

— Audio Setup:

For best results, please plan to bring/wear headphones to receive the full benefit of the musical soundscape that will accompany the breathwork portion of the retreat. I will also be guiding you through voice.

Device Setup:

For the Breathwork Journey portion of the retreat, please be sure that you have the ability to prop your device/laptop up in such a way that it will allow for me to see your profile and abdomen like the image below.

Other Tips

— Do wear comfortable clothing

— Do plan to bring a journal + pen

— Do plan to have water on hand –– energy work is thirsty work

— You may also wish to install a voice recording app on your phone in case you'd like to capture quick voice memos. I have found those to be a helpful way to capture quick thoughts, downloads, etc, especially just after a Breathwork Journey.

Be sure to silence your Devices / Turn on “Do Not Disturb”: It’s important that you aren’t disturbed during your experience - especially during the Breathwork Journey. As such, it is highly recommended that switch your computer and/or i-devices to “Do Not Disturb”.

Medical Considerations

— If you have asthma, please do plan to bring your inhaler for the Breathwork portion of our journey.
